‘Ghana Today’, an afternoon daily radio programme which is aired on GBC’s Radio Ghana with its listeners have supported a nine-year old boy, Daniel Arkoli, who suffers from T Cell Lymphoma with GH¢5,000.00 (five thousand Ghana cedis) as first part payment for his chemotherapy.
‘Ghana Today’ which is one of GBC’s flagship programmes initiated the charity drive last month after the parents of Daniel Arkoli approached the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) for support.
Daniel’s father who is a commercial driver cannot afford the cost of the chemotherapy. Daniel has to undergo the treatment for a year and half to clear the cancer from his system.
Daniel Arkoli who is described by his teachers as respectful and intelligent aspires to be a doctor in future.
