GBC’s Benjamin Willie Graham selected for 2019 AFCON TV commentary

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Ghana Broadcasting Corporation’s Benjamin Willie Graham to be the lead commentator to cover the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, television category.

Benjamin who is a Senior Sports News Editor at GBC, has almost a decade and a half experience in both Sports News journalism and sports commentating with Ghana Television (GTV), taking over from the renowned and seasoned Kwabena Yeboah, a pace setter who also featured at the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa and many more sports events.

Benjamin Willie Graham who is a product of the Ghana Institute of Journalism holds a Master’s Degree in Media Management and has previously worked with SuperSport of South Africa as a football commentator covering the Ghana Premier League and also with Star Times after it acquired the broadcasting rights from the then administration of the Ghana Football Association.

The sports journalist has also worked on FIFA World Cups (2010, 2014) as a radio commentator for the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and the 2012 London Olympic Games.

At the 2018 Total CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations, Graham once again proved his worth as the lead commentator.

He has also worked with seasoned commentators like Barry Lambert, Paul Dempsey and Steve Vickers for Fox Sports Africa.
