The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, says government will soon take delivery of two hundred and thirty six (236) tractors to support farmers.
He noted that government is subsidising the tractors by forty percent.
Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto said this at the inauguration of the Soya Value Chain Association of Ghana in Accra.
He said government is working to establish some nuclear agro programmes in the Afram Plains and Fumbisi.
The President of Seedpag, Alhaji Issahaku Mahama called on the Minister to facilitate the supply of packaging and certification tags for them to package the certified soya seeds.
