The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah, on behalf of the Ministry, has donated two thousand packs of bottled drinking water to Frontline Medical teams managing the outbreak of the Coronavirus, COVID-19.

The donation is part of the initiative of President Akufo-Addo, to show appreciation of the Government to the frontline medical staff of the various health facilities, during the period of combating the spread of the virus.

The Sector Minister, Cecilia Dapaah was hopeful that the donation would ease the burden of having to leave the precincts of the workplace in search of water.

She urged the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to use the period of lockdown to intensify their cleaning activities in the city.

Madam Cecilia Dapaah reminded the public to continue to be responsive to the personal hygiene protocols directed by the Government through the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service in order to contain the spread of the Covid-19.

The beneficiary health institutions include Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Greater Accra Regional Hospital also known as Ridge, 37 Military Hospital, Tema General Hospital and other facilities in the Ashanti Region.
