The Ghana Physician Assistants Association has given the government a three week ultimatum to resolve all long outstanding issues, failure of which will result in a series of industrial actions, beginning with the withdrawal of all Out Patient Department services by all Physician Assistants working in public health institutions from the10th of next month.

According to the Association, the Ministry of Health, and Ghana Health Service and other implementing agencies continue to exhibit apathy towards the resolution of issues affecting the practice and welfare of Physician Assistants nationwide.

Addressing the press conference  in Kumasi after the 3rd National Council meeting of the Association, the Acting General Secretary of the Ghana Physician Assistants Association, Peter Kuenyefu highlighted the condition of service of the Physician Assistant and accreditation status of the College of Health at Kintampo in the Bono-Ahafo region.
