Renowned philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer of Djaba Foundation, Mr. Joseph Osei Djaba, has officially thrown his hat into the ring to vie for the New Juaben North Constituency Parliamentary seat in the Eastern Region.

As the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) hopeful candidate, Joseph Osei Djaba recently submitted his nomination forms at the party’s constituency office, marking a significant step in his bid for the parliamentary seat.

Mr. Djaba is among four candidates, including Nana Osei Adjei, Philip Twum Yeboah, and Sampson Kwesi Annor, challenging the incumbent Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong for the New Juaben North parliamentary seat.

The filing of nomination forms drew a massive crowd of supporters, friends, and family, who enthusiastically displayed placards showcasing the qualities of Joseph Osei Djaba. The atmosphere was filled with jubilation, as supporters sang and danced in celebration.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support, Mr. Djaba conveyed his commitment to building on the party’s legacy and leadership, emphasizing his dedication to enhancing democracy for the nation’s betterment. He reassured the public that his mission is focused on bringing positive change and developmental projects to the New Juaben North constituency, rather than personal wealth accumulation.

Addressing the crowd, Mr. Djaba called for unity among supporters and encouraged a fair and respectable campaign.

He expressed optimism that with a united front, the NPP would secure victory in the New Juaben North parliamentary seat.

Joseph Osei Djaba pledged to continue his charitable works in the constituency, he promised to introduce policies aimed at alleviating the burdens faced by the constituents.

Noteworthy among Mr. Djaba’s charitable interventions are fully constructed and commissioned CHIPS Compound for Fofie at Asokore in the New Juaben North Municipality, donation of educational items to selected Junior High Schools in the constituency, and provision of educational scholarships for students pursuing studies both in Ghana and abroad.

As the nomination period concluded on December 25, 2023, a total of 92 candidates expressed their intent to compete for parliamentary seats in the Eastern Region. Out of this number, 84 candidates officially filed their nominations, poised to challenge incumbents in 22 constituencies.
