A Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency and a key contender in the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential election, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has indicated that his administration will see to the revival of the country’s ailing economy with his Patriotism, Honesty and Discipline agenda.

The maverick businessman and flagbearer aspirant acknowledged in an interview with Kessben TV on September 18, 2023, that the country is currently in an economic crisis, which the President has also acknowledged, but his administration will transform it swiftly using his three principles, PHD.

According to him, inheriting such an economy is not scary to an ambitious and business-minded mind with traveling experiences like him. He explained that patriotism, as part of his transformation pillars, will revive the pride of Ghanaians in the country just as other foreign nationals do.

He mentioned the key role of the media and musicians in instilling the spirit of patriotism in the youth to consciously bring to bear in their minds the need to be proud and defend the country.

He further stated that, when Ghanaians, both civil and public servants, pay due diligence to their duties and roles, the number of corruption-related activities will be a thing of the past. He stressed that honesty as his administration pillar will not only reduce corruption but will also sustain the economy and save the country some money.

Mr. Agyapong also noted that lack of discipline accounts for the major problems Ghana as a country faces, and when that aspect is corrected, the economy of the country will bounce back and Ghana can become an African feeder with agriculture, tourism, and technology playing key roles.
