Former Upper East Regional Minster, Prof. Ephraim Nsoh Avea has has asked members of the National Democratic Congress, NDC to unite for overwhelming victory in Ghana‘s next 2024 general election.

“So let us unite, disband all campaign factions, close our ranks and files and work together so that  we can rescue the country.  “We must put our house together so that we can regain the mandate of Ghanaians to rescue this country”, Prof. Avea added.

The former Upper East Regional Minister under the erstwile former President Mahama’s administration, made the call when he was speaking to party faithful at the final day of the “Thank You Tour” of the Parliamentary Candidate of the Bongo Constituency, Mr. Charles Bawa-Dua, a Lawyer, at the Bongo Senior High School.

According to Prof Avea, the NDC must remain united in the constituency and work together towards victory.

He said the NDC is the only viable alternative for Ghanaians in the 2024 general elections.
He expressed his readiness in working assiduously with the parliamentary candidate and members of the party through its policies and track record to rescue the nation from the abyss.

He took a dig at the government for subjecting Ghanaians to excruciating hardships adding that the next NDC government will not be complicit in the economic mess created by the government.

“NDC is the party to rescue Ghanaians from the hardships they are going through under the NPP, so the party base and supporters must work assiduously to ensure victory for Lawyer Charles Bawa-Dua and Former President John Dramani Mahama”, Prof. Avea reiterated. 

Prof. Avea was one of the aspirants for the party’s Parliamentary elections of the Bongo Constituency. He and the incumbent MP for the constituency, Mr. Edward Bawa lost to Mr. Charles Bawa-Dua, a Lawyer. 

He pledged his outfits readiness in supporting the parliamentary candidate to retain the seat and also canvas for more votes for the NDC’s flagbearer John Mahama to win the presidential Election. 

Prof. Avea, however, cautioned the party faithful not to be complacent but remain focus and engage themselves in aggressive grassroots campaign and remain united to recapture power in this year’s election.
