The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has organised a three-day sensitisation workshop on its revised Operational Manual to strengthen institutional coordination and improve service delivery across the Ministry.

The workshop, organised by the Human Resource Management Directorate with technical support from the Management Services Department (MSD), brought together selected staff from various Directorates, Units and Specialised Secretariats. The training was aimed at deepening participants’ understanding of standardised operational procedures and institutional workflows.

It also focused on aligning internal processes with the Ministry’s statutory mandate while providing a unified framework to guide operations across all departments. The initiative is expected to promote efficiency, accountability and transparency in the implementation of programmes and services.

During the three-day training, participants were taken through key sections of the Operational Manual, including administrative and financial procedures, reporting and documentation protocols, communication and approval processes, as well as service delivery standards.

The sessions also addressed workflow coordination across Directorates, compliance requirements and mechanisms for monitoring and accountability.

Participants engaged in practical exercises and scenario-based discussions to strengthen their understanding and ensure the effective application of the Manual in their daily operations.

The workshop forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to promote consistency, transparency and accountability in delivering its mandate of protecting and supporting vulnerable groups in society.
