Ablakwa resigns from Appointments Committee of Parliament

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has resigned from the Appointments Committee of Parliament with immediate effect.

In a letter dated March 30, 2021 and addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Mr Ablakwa said the reasons for his resignation are personal and based on principle.

He said “I shall like to state that the reasons for this difficult decision are both personal and on principle.”

Mr Ablakwa expressed gratitude to the Speaker, Leadership of the House, the Committee of Selection and Leadership of the great National Democratic Congress.
