Work is steadily progressing on the Garu District Hospital Agenda 111 project in the Upper East Region. It is one of the government’s hospitals across the country that are expected to offer health care delivery to the people.

GBC News’ visit to the project site revealed that phases one, two, and three of the project are shooting up.

Substructure and pillaring work is nearing completion. Block work and partitioning work have all gone far. Staff accommodation blocks have also seen some progress.

The Project Manager of Starry Company Limited, John Kingsley Kwofie, told GBC News, “the commitment behind the project is high. It is our vision to complete the project on schedule and to allow President Akufo-Addo experience his mission of implementing the project.”

The construction of the 60-bed capacity project started in November 2021 and it’s about fifty percent complete. Among other phases, work on the pharmacy, laboratory and diagnosis, accident and emergency ward, maternity ward, kitchen, and maintenance has reached the beam level.
