The Electoral Commission (EC), has justified the decision to restore its old logo.
An internal memo signed by the Chairperson of the EC directed that with effect from Tuesday, the original logo of the EC, which bears the Coat of Arms and has the ballot box showing the hand casting its vote, has been restored.
It further directed that all Regional and District Directors ensure that the most recent logo is removed and subsequently replaced.
A Deputy PRO of the Commission, Yussif Ayuba, said the decision was taken after wide consultations.
He said there are no cost implications for this change.
