Government has announced the establishment of a Real Estate Authority to regulate the sector.
Speaking at the ‘Meet The Press Series’ in Accra, the Minister for Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Akyea said, establishment of the Authority will instill professionalism and discipline in the Real Estate sector.
The Minister said the Rent Act will be reviewed to safeguard the rights of vulnerable tenants who have been out priced by the uncontrollable rise in the cost of renting accommodation.
