A Civil Society and Governance Organisation, Democracy Forum, has called on the government and all political parties as well as civil society groups to do all they can to ban and stop the operations of vigilante groups in the country as the country prepares towards elections 2020.
Speaking on GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Secretary to Democracy Forum, Bright Kinful, said the situation is dangerous and can plunge the country into strife.
Mr. Kinful told GBC’s correspondent that country’s like Rwanda, Liberia and Somalia experienced such wars because of the training and arming of vigilante or militia groups.
