Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu has debunked claims made by the Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong that he (Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa) took money from him (Kennedy Agyapong) during his campaign as NUGS President. He made this known February 24, 2022 in an interview on the GTV’s Breakfast Show.
On 21st of February, 2022, the MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong stated that “Let’s ask Hon. Okudzeto, when he was contesting as NUGS president, it was Dan Botwe who asked him to come to me in Parliament to collect money, how many cars does he have today”? He added that “Okudzeto has never worked in his life but he is always on the issue of the president’s jet”, he said.
But Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa has stated that the claims made by the MP is just “ridiculous and so laughable because Kennedy Agyapong has a penchant, when he cannot deal with the issue he goes after the messenger”. He made it clear that “these are blatant fabrications, I have never! Never! Never! Received a dime from Kennedy Agyapong and I don’t even talk to him neither did I ever go to Parliament when I was contesting for NUGS President to see him or Dan Botwe because I didn’t even know Dan Botwe when I was contesting for NUGS President”.
