The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Mahama, has graced the iYes Convention with his Running-mate Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

In a Facebook statement, Mr. Mahama expressed gratitude for such a gathering that seeks to empower the youth and society as a whole.

“Thank you, Pastor Brian, for inviting me to the 10th iYES Convention. It was an honour to be among such a vibrant and enthusiastic group of young Ghanaians who are passionate about positively impacting our society.”

Mr. Mahama said that as he continues to witness the incredible talent and creativity displayed by Ghana’s youth, he cannot help but feel immensely proud of their ingenuity and potential.

He emphasised, “Despite the country’s numerous challenges, the youth are aware of these obstacles and actively seek solutions to overcome them.”

“Events like the iYES Convention are crucial in providing a platform for young people to come together, share ideas, and inspire one another. Through these gatherings, we can nurture and empower our youth to make a meaningful difference in our nation.”

He advised the youth to be resilient in all their arguments. “To the youth of Ghana, I urge you to continue seeking inspiration from others and be prepared to confront the challenges that come your way. Your determination and resilience will drive the positive changes we hope to see in our society.”

“I look forward to seeing the incredible impact that the youth of Ghana will undoubtedly make in the coming years,” Mr. Mahama said.
