Key contender in the NPP flagbearer race and a member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has revealed his plans for the Ashanti Region when he is voted for as President.
He expressed his desire to create job opportunities in Ghana during a live interview on Kessben TV on September 18, 2023 and to achieve this he plans to establish a Tractor Assembly Plant in Kumasi, which he termed as the Agricultural Hub of Ghana.
“Without any achievement, Kumasi as the hub of Agriculture in Ghana, under my administration will have a Tractor Assembly Plant… We will begin to Assemble Tractors in the Ashanti Region.”, he said.
According to him, his vision is to create jobs to transform the economy.
He touted his experiences from Germany and other countries has shaped his life and his works can testify to that. He stated that his plans to develop the country and transform the economy is based on his Patriotism, Honesty and Discipline principles and pillars.
He mentioned further that, his administration will see to the firm collaboration of lecturers from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and engineers from the Suame magazine Machine hub to build cars and other technological gadgets to give jobs and hope to the youth in Ghana.
Additionally, he clarified that his “showdown” comment was in response to an incident which involved his agent who got chased during the Super Delegates election. He therefore condemned such actions during internal elections and emphasized that his ultimate goal is to transform the country’s economy by creating jobs.
Ken Agyapong assured Ghanaians that he is the Business Man who has the potential to expand businesses if given the chance.
