The Progressive People’s Party (PPP), says the Electoral Commission has failed to honour its promise of providing vehicles to convey persons who have attained age 18 in remote areas to EC District Offices to register in the ongoing Limited Voter Registration.

This setback, according to the PPP is making it difficult for young people who cannot afford to commute two relatives to a district to act as guarantors for them.

Communications Director of PPP, Paa Kow Ackon.

Communications Director of the Party, Paa Kow Ackon said this among other challenges the exercise is experiencing could have been avoided if the National Identification Authority (NIA) had done its job well since the authority could have provided data of persons who have attained age 18 to the EC.
