The former President and Flagbearer of National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says his party will no longer engage the services of professors and persons he described as gurus in Accra to write its manifesto without considering the priorities of the Ghanaian populace.

Instead, the party will go round to seek the views of the public in all the 16 regions of the country dubbed ”Speak Out” to ensure that the Party’s manifesto suits the entire citizenry.

Mr Mahama made the point at a durbar at Sefwi Asempaneye, near Awaso in the Bibiani–Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

It was part of his three-day tour to six constituencies in the region including Sefwi Wiawso, Bodi, Juaboso, Bia East and West.

Mr Mahama spoke on the neglect of the free distribution of fertilizers and infrastructural projects like cocoa roads in the Western North Region.

On his part, the Chief of Sefwi Asempanaye Nana Okotwasuo Akyeabema said his fervent prayer is that the good people of Ghana vote him back to power to continue the good works he started.

A similar durbar was held in Sefwi Wiawso the Western North Regional capital.

The tour is expected to continue to the Bia East and West, today and end at Juaboso and Bodi today.
