The  National Democractic Congress (NDC), says it is disappointed in how the office of Economic and Organised Crime, (EOCO) has handled the MenzGold saga so far.

The Party is therefore calling for the dismissal of its Executive Director, K.K. Amoah for acting only after the CEO of MenzGold, Nana Appiah Mensah left the country, despite being under investigation.

Communications Director of the party, Sammy Gyamfi called on President Akufo-Addo to dismiss Mr. Amoah and initiate processes to bring Nana Appiah Mensah back home to stand trial.

He made these comments at a news conference in Accra dubbed “moment of truth”.

The NDC used the 2nd edition of its moment of truth series to register it’s displeasure at the way government has reacted to the menzgold saga.

Flanked by the General Secretary of the party Johnson Nketia, Women’s Organiser, Hannah Bissiw and other Executives, Mr. Gyamfi raised concerns at how CEO of Mensgold popularly referred to as NAM1 enjoyed certain privileges which enabled him sneak out of the country under the watch of the security agencies.

He put the blame at the doorsteps of the presidency for adding credibility to Nana Appiah Mensah and his business after images of President Akufo-Addo and NAM1 shaking hands emerged on social media.

He called on government to initiate steps to quickly bring NAM1 home to stand trial and retrieve the customer’s money.
