Okaikoi Central NPP confirms Patrick Yaw Boamah by acclamation

The Auditorium of Harrow International School at Fadama in Accra, overflowed with attendees on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Party Executives and Constituency delegates gathered for an acclamation ceremony honouring Patrick Yaw Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikoi Central.

Having gone unopposed in the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary primaries, Hon. Patrick Boamah, who has now achieved this unopposed status twice consecutively, becomes the first to do so in Okaikoi Central.

He stands among the two MPs in the Greater Accra Region who faced no contest in the Party’s parliamentary primaries.

The vision of the Okaikoi Central MP to empower the youth and drive infrastructure development in the area receives commendation from many constituents, including NPP delegates.

In the presence of NPP Regional Executives, officials of the Electoral Commission conducted the acclamation, officially declaring Patrick Boamah as the party’s candidate for the 2024 Parliamentary elections.

Expressing gratitude after the acclamation, Mr. Boamah thanked constituents for their support, emphasising that going unopposed is a testament to his commitment to Okaikoi Central. He pledged to continue working diligently, advocating for developments, and providing effective representation in Parliament.

Patrick Boamah affirmed the NPP’s goal to win the general elections and elect Mahamudu Bawumia as the President of Ghana. He emphasised the crucial role Okaikoi Central plays in achieving the party’s target of ‘breaking the 8’.

He urged Constituents to defend the party against criticism, highlighting the development initiatives in places like Lapaz, Olengele, and Apenkwa.

Honourable Boamah also outlined upcoming projects during his tenure, including the construction of 7-lane pavements in Wuoyeman, Apenkwa, and other areas.

Prominent executives at the acclamation included Constituency Executive Chairman Nii Ashy, Municipal Chip Executive Boye Laryea, and others.
