The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has underscored the need for Parliament to set up a Committee that will advise the House on legal issues involving Members of Parliament.
This is because there have been inconsistencies in this regard by successive Speakers of Parliament.
Speaking on the case in court involving MP for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga,
Mr. Mensah Bonsu advised members not to regard the issue as a Mahama Ayariga one, but an issue that affects them all.
He asked members to rally support and contest the laws to establish a principle on matters of such nature.
