“In the midst of raging fire, what do we do as a people? Do we then find where to put the blame or we tackle the fire and bring it under control so we can survive” asks Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam.
Sheikh Shaibu, mentions that although those in government must be humble and accept that there is an issue, those in positions to criticize must also be moderate and humble in their criticisms.
”Because it seems as though there is some kind of rejoicing from some group of people about the current crises that the nation is facing”.
Sheikh Shaibu mentioned a proverb that says that ”if one is digging a pit for evil purposes, it must be shallow in case one falls in himself”.
He made the point noting that there comes a time when those who are criticizing will one day be criticized themselves.
Sheikh Shaibu advised Ghanaians to learn lessons from past experiences as well as the current circumstances to prevent the repeat of history in the future.
He called on all Ghanaians not to lose hope regarding the current economic situation.
Sheikh Shaibu discouraged spearheading negativity and urged Ghanaians to learn to manage their anger and frustrations.
In the midst of all this cacophony, he asked that there should be unity of purpose and stability in this crises.
