After her opponent, Mr. Roni Paa Kwesi Nicol, alleged that Ursula Owusu Ekuful had camped delegates, a move against party guidelines, the Member of Parliament hit back, stating that her rival lacks the understanding of organizing and winning elections.

This exchange unfolds as both Candidates vie for the Member of Parliament position in Ablekuma West in the Greater Accra Region.

Expressing concerns about Roni’s delegates lacking accreditation in the Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu addressed the issue in an interview with GBC News.

She countered Roni’s claims, asserting that he hasn’t conducted serious campaigning in the Constituency and, hence lacks the experience in organizing and winning elections.

Dismissing the allegations, she clarified, “Where people are going, that’s where everybody is being given breakfast. Anyone who wants to eat, and I don’t discriminate; nobody is under lock and key.”

So, I don’t know what they mean by camping, Camping, in a real sense, is you’ll block them up somewhere all night and then carry them in a bus to the gate to vote. But this is an open place where people can walk in and take their breakfast.”

Acknowledging the ongoing elections, Mrs. Ursula Owusu commended the Police Service and the NPP for enforcing strict guidelines.

She emphasized the importance of adhering to the rules, considering the Constituency’s history of contentious arguments during elections.
