The newly elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo says they will not leave anybody behind and that all the winners and those who lost should come together in other for the party to win the 2020 election.
Speaking on ‘Focus’, Uniiq FM’s Current Affairs Program, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo said he empathised with the Honorable Adu Asare for such unfortunate event and therefore ask that he exercise some restrain and urged him that the matter will be looked at.
Mr. Ampofo noted that the earlier statement from the formal Deputy Chairperson of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso and some youth of the Volta Region is unfortunate but he will give them the benefit of the doubt.
He added that, the NDC as a party has not been fair to the Volta Region in term of development and later promised that the party will not take Voltarians for granted.
The Chairman advised the party members to refrain from any act that will run the party down or else such persons will be sanctioned regardless the person at fault, position and that the 2020 election will not be an easy one.
On the same issue, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School and Political Marketing Strategies, Dr. Kobby Mensah mentioned that wining election depends on the leadership and the kind of strategy they use.
