Dreams FC displayed determination away from home as they held former Champions Zamalek to a goalless draw in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup tie on Sunday, April 21, 2024, in Cairo.

‘The Still Believe Boys’ stood up to the challenge against one of the giant clubs in African football by preventing them from putting the ball into their net, although they faced a total of 25 shots, of which only six saw the target intended.

Coming up against an intense atmosphere in an unfamiliar environment, Dreams FC showed resilience as they put up a masterclass  ‘A+’ defensive to keep the home team from getting something out of the game considering they had much of the possession.

With the defensive line of the FA Cup campions standing up to the test, goalkeeper Solomon Agbesi was the man of the moment as he made six vital saves of shots faced. ‘The Still Believe Boys’ kept their composure as they frustrated the home side to take home an all-important heading into the second leg in Kumasi.

The second leg at Kumasi on Sunday, April 28, 2024, will be more competitive, as Dreams FC will be looking at improving massively in order to make a mark in the Confederation Cup by qualifying to the final for the first time as debutants of the competition.
