The Black Challenge on Thursday, May 23, 2024, secured a place in the semi-finals after defeating Tanzania 4-1 in the Amputee African Cup of Nations (AAFCON), currently underway in Cairo, Egypt.

The Ghana Amputee Football team, coming into this tournament as the defending champions, hasn’t left a foot wrong, as they began the tournament in some blistering fashion, crashing Gambia, Algeria, and Kenya on their way to the quarterfinals.

Ghana took their quarterfinals game to another level as they displayed an incredible performance by taking the contest to their opponents, leaving them no chance but to concede defeat at the hands of the two-time champions.

The game saw some incredible goals from Yussif Yahaya and Hamza Mohammed, who both demonstrated a sense of resilience to help capture an important win for their team. Ghana’s victory in the semi-finals outlines the gradual improvement and hard work of the team after winning the last edition of the tournament.

The Black Challenge will square it off against Algeria in the semi-final on Saturday, May 25, 2024, with hopes gearing towards another victory and defending the trophy.
