Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, a member of Asante Kotoko’s interim management committee, remains optimistic about the team’s chances of winning the Ghana Premier League despite a challenging start to the season.

Dasoberi highlighted that the team is currently in a rebuilding phase, and the manager is fully aware of the tasks ahead. The former Ghana Football Association administrator emphasized that challenges are expected at this stage of the club’s development.

“Our commitment to rebuilding remains steadfast. The coach has a specific task to perform, and we believe we are on the right path. This period might be turbulent, but it’s just a passing storm. Although the situation isn’t what we anticipated, setbacks are part of the rebuilding process,” said Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi.

Addressing the team’s performance, he pointed out that last year, around the same period, Medeama, who eventually won the league, was in the 14th position, similar to where Asante Kotoko currently stands. Dasoberi acknowledged the pressure on the coach but emphasized that they are focused on the rebuilding process, aiming for success.

“We understand that being a coach comes with immense pressure, even more so during a rebuilding phase. Our goal is to achieve success despite the challenges,” Dasoberi stated.

Expressing confidence in the team’s abilities, Dasoberi stated, “We have to trust the process; it won’t be easy, but we are determined to give our best to secure the trophy.”

Asante Kotoko is currently in the 14th position with 10 points, and despite the tough start, the team remains hopeful and committed to turning things around in the upcoming matches.
