Ghana’s confederations cup campaigners Ashantigold will on Sunday trek to Kumasi Baba Yara stadium for the memorial cup match in honour of the B.K Edusei Foundation.

The game is aimed at raising funds to assist the living members of squad that won the 1971 champions league for Asante Kotoko.

Benjamin Kyem Edusei popularly known as B.K in the football world was one time chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the strong leader in the history of the club

His philanthropical gestures went beyond the shores of Kotoko to the benefit of Ghana football as whole.

As the first chairman of the Board of Directors as well as the first Accra rep of the Porcupine Warriors, he is credited for introduction of poaching big name players at close of every football season.
