Black Princesses open camp in Cape Coast ahead of African Games

The Black Princesses of Ghana have started pulling up in camp ahead of the 2023 African Games. The final squad was announced on Monday, February 26, 2024. 

The Black Princesses will be camping in Cape Coast as part of their preparations for their match against Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda in their Group A encounter. The team has the likes of Comfort Yeboah, Jacqueline Amponsah, Maafia Nyame, and Stella Nyamekye representing.

The U-20 women’s team, under the supervision of the ever-motivated coach Yussif Basigi, will be going all out to win the targeted gold medal for the country after qualifying for the under-20 women’s World Cup in Colombia. 

With the team spirit blazing on high cylinders in camp, the Princesses will not be giving any room for complacency to set in camp as they are determined to excel in the prestigious African games. 

The team will open its campaign against Ethiopia on March 9th at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and will also face countries like Tanzania and Uganda at the same venue.
