Afcon: Black Stars host Madagascar in Group E Opener

The Black Stars of Ghana will today begin their AFCON 2023 qualifying campaign with a home match against Madagascar.

Today’s match against Madagascar would be the first of a six-legged match that would be played on a home and away bases between the Black Stars of Ghana, the Palancas Negras of Angola, the Barea of Madagascar, and the Les Fauves of the Central African Republic, with all four teams seeded in Group E.

Match Day 1 and 2 of the qualifying stages are scheduled to be played from May 30 to July 14, 2022, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Cote D’Ivoire is to host next year’s TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations which is slated to begin on June 23, 2023, and end on July 23, 2023.

The game against Madagascar will be live on GTV SPORTS+, GTV, OBONU TV and GARDEN CITY TV as well as on All GBC Radio stations and Digital platforms.
