Volta Division Two League side, Selion FC has secured a healthcare partnership deal with Royal Hospital, a prime health care facility in Ho, ahead of their 2021/2022 upcoming football season.

The agreement is aimed at strengthening the well-being of the playing body and to promote the activities of the healthcare facility.

Royal Hospital is, therefore, now the official medical service provider of the Lions.

As part of the deal, the playing body would be screened periodically during the season.

In addition, the health care service provider would also deliver occasional health lectures on injury prevention and how sports men and women can stay healthy professionally.

The Club Owner, Miss Seli Atutonu who was elated and pleased with the deal said “Selion Football club is very happy about this deal and wants to thank Royal Hospital for choosing to partner with us.”

“The health of our players is very important to the club, especially prevention and treatment of injuries.

The Brand and Marketing Officer of the Club, Emil Atando is confident of a positive corporate image of the club.

“We are trying to build a corporate identity and this is just the beginning of more to come,” he said.

The Administrator of Royal Hospital, Saviour Amakpa revealed the partnership would enable the facility to engage people with pressing health needs through digital and social platforms.

“We want to be part of the new sporting project of Selion Football. Selion Fc will serve as a platform to engage with people digitally and communicate messages about healthcare and well-being,” Mr. Amakpa said.

“With the social media presence of the club, we would have a global reach.” he added.

Selion FC which was formed in 2005 is a registered Division Two Club based in Ho and trains at the Ho Barracks Park.

Royal Hospital is one of many healthcare facilities in the Volta Region, mostly preferred by residents in the regional capital, Ho, and its environs.
