Final draw for 2021 AFCON rescheduled for the third time

The final draw for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed because of problems relating to the Covid-19 outbreak, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

According to a statement made by CAF, a new date for the draw will be announced soon.

Because of the effects of the COVID-19 epidemic throughout the continent, CAF rescheduled the event for the third time to January 2022 on June 30, 2020. The event has been rescheduled for January 9 to February 6, 2022.

For the competition, twenty-four qualifying teams will be divided into six groups of four.

Mali, Burkina Faso, Malawi, Ghana, Sudan, Gambia, Gabon, Morocco, Mauritania, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Egypt, Comoros, Algeria, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Congo, Tunisia, Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Benin are among the eligible teams.
