Newly appointed Captain of Kpando Hearts of Lions, Dickson Sakabutu has assured fans and football enthusiasts in the Volta region of a Ghana Premier League slot next season.
Hearts of Lions are fervently preparing ahead for the upcoming season which starts this weekend having finished 4th in the previous season, the 2021/22 Division One League.
With several changes in leadership from management to playing body, the former Dynamo FC man says he and his teammates are ready for the task ahead.
“You guys should be expecting more, 100% football from Lions, we are ready to give our all and the best. “We are ready to push and fight on to see the team in the Premier League next season” He said.
Last season, he played 25 matches scored 5 goals and won 4 Man of the Match Awards.
He is confident of a positive form when the new season begins this Friday.
Dickson Sakabutu joined Hearts of Lions during in the 2018/19League season from Ho Dynamo FC.
Since joining, the midfielder has been an integral part of the team, last month he was named Captain. He will be assisted by 1st Captain Ebenezer Abban and two others in Samuel Agbenyegah and Thomas Osae.
They are expected to lead the team back into the Ghana Premier League after it was relegated in 2015.
Kpando Hearts of Lions will play their first game of the 2022/23 season away to Nania FC on Monday at 3:00 PM.
