American born Ghanaian juvenile boxer, Joseph Jojo Awinongya Jnr, is set to donate cash and some other items to specific amateur boxers in Ghana to help the fight against covid-19.

The seven-time United States National champion believes sports in general is facing hard times particularly boxing as a sports and boxers as the actors.

Focusing on amateur boxers, Joseph believes giving support to his brothers and colleagues in the juvenile division could help them in many ways as far as their career is concerned.

According to the boxing prodigy, he feels how difficult training could be for his colleagues in Ghana under the pandemic.

Here in the United States, things are not normal the way they usually should be even though we are managing through the pandemic and hope it ends soon. Back home in Ghana, based on what I have read and heard, I have the feeling that things will be really bad for my brothers and colleagues, so I want to donate some cash to keep them for some time in their schedules.

Joseph Jojo Awinongya’s documentary ‘Fight in American’ is on Amazon Prime. Joseph is the first kid in Illinois to keep winning nationals since 9 years old. He is a 3-time Silver Gloves National Champ, 1 time USA National Champion, 2 times Jr Olympic National Champion, 1 time Western Elite Qualifier National Champion, 2 times St Louis National Champion, 1 time King of the Jungle National Champion, 2 times Wisconsin National Champion, and Power Gloves National Champion.

In addition, he received a congratulatory belt from the IBF International Boxing Federation for his athletic determination. He was also awarded a “Jo Boxer” license plate from Secretary of State for all his achievements.

Joseph Awinongya Jojo Jnr glittering career is supported by philanthropists across the world. Some are Alhaji Inusah Sally, who has been supporting Joseph since he was only 8-year-old, and Azumah Nelson, a staunch fan and mentor of Jojo, and VIP travel and tour.
