Kumasi Asante Kotoko are through to the final of Tier one of the Normalisation Committee’s Special competition after beating arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 5-4 on penalties.
The match which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium was one of the semi- final encounters of the special tournament. After holding on to a 5th minute goal by Abdul Fatawu Safiu, Kotoko were compelled to play penalties after Hearts equalised from the spot.
The Porcupine Warriors won the resultant penalty kicks 5-4, sending them to the final. They will play Karela United, who beat Ashantigold 1-nill in the other semi-final game played at Obuasi Len Clay Stadium
