AFCON 2023: Kudus involvement in AFCON still undecided

The head coach of the Black Stars Chris Hughton is still not certain of using Kudus Mohammed in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Ghana lost 2-1 in the opening game of the competition prompting the crusade for the inclusion of the former Ajax playmaker.

However, the West Ham star has yet to recover from the minor injury he suffered at his club before the tournament’s commencement.

Though the player trained ahead of the second group game which comes off on Thursday, Coach Chris Hughton is still uncertain of using Kudus Mohammed for the crucial duel. During the mandatory press conference before the game on Thursday, the manager is unsure of his inclusion in the game.

“We are still assessing Mohammed Kudus after he trained with us. We have till tomorrow to decide on his inclusion in the game tomorrow”. Coach Chris Hughton tells the media

Ghana is in search of her first win in the tournament to redefine the tournament as they face Egypt on Thursday.
