Kurt Okraku Elected GFA President

The Chief Executive Officer of Dreams FC, Kurt E. S. Okraku, has been elected the new President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after going through three rounds of voting.

He won the election by 93 votes which represents 96.9% of the total vote cast.

In all, six people contested for the GFA Presidency and in the first round of voting, Kurt Okraku got 44 votes, George Afriyie 40, Nana Yaw Amponsah 27 and Fred Pappoe six.

The other two candidates Amanda Clinton and George Ankomah Mensah had zero vote.

In the second round, Afriyie had 43 votes while Kurt Okuraku had 59 votes. Nana Yaw Amponsah also had 16 votes.

The third round was a Yes or No vote after George Afriye conceded defeat after the second round of voting.

120 delegates voted at the election which was held at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons Hall in Accra.
