French international, Kylian Mbappe who plays for Paris Saint-Germain is still struggling with hamstring problem he picked up and was forced off against Toulouse late last month.

Paris Saint Germain kick off their Champions League campaign with European heavyweights Real Madrid who have won it thirteen times, the successive club in the competition.

Kylian Mbappe has confirmed he will not be part of the squad to face Real Madrid on Wednesday, 18th 2019 in the French capital Paris.

He took to his twitter account and he wrote: “It’s now official; I will not start our European campaign at home against Madrid. I am very sad not to be able to play but I will bring all my support from the stands to the team and I hope to return 100% to still and always give my best”.

The news comes as a heavy blow for the French Champions who are suffering with a key number of absentees, with their forward Edison Cavani with no exception, he has been out of action since August due to a hip injury, and it was always possible he would not recover in time to take on Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, Neymar has also been suspended following his violent argument with officials during the game against Manchester United last season.

This has left Thomas Tuchel, no option than to use summer loan signing Mauro Icardi and Winger Angel Di Maria who is in fine form in the early stages of the season.

Their opponents Madrid, will use this as an advantage to speed up their game because the trio will not take part in the game.
