Embattled Referee Kennedy Padi has denied media reports claiming he is having terrible nightmares after awarding a controversial penalty against Accra Hearts of Oak in the crucial game with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The Phobians lost 1-0 to their bitter rivals in the week 24 of the Ghana Premier League to further deteriorate their title defense ambition. The penalty decision attracted a suspension for the rest of the season by the Match Review Panel.

According to the Lawyer for the Referee, Kojo Koranteng Esq, Kennedy Padi has not granted any interview to any radio station or has not had any private conversation suggesting to have had any bad dreams and erectile dysfunction after awarding Asante Kotoko the penalty.

‘Kennedy Padi never granted any radio interview after the big game he officiated. He has not even had a private discussion on such a sensitive issue. Erectile dysfunction and bad dreams have on no occasion appeared in any conversation of my client’.

‘Therefore, I entreat the public to treat the report with all the contempt it deserves. Kennedy Padi is fine and he is waiting for his suspension to be over to pick his whistle again to officiate games he will be assigned’.

The Match Review Panel of the Ghana Football Association after watching footage of the incident banned Referee Kenny Padi from all GFA organized Matches for the remaining season.

Meanwhile, Kenny Padi through his Lawyer has denied another report of retiring from the game after he issued the ban.
