An impressive and industrious season to remember for Port City FC, as they held on to an impeccable run of form in the Division 2 Zone 5 middle league, going unbeaten in all 23 matches played. The resilient Port City FC will be making an appearance in the Division One league next season.

Port City FC, with a shred of determination and confidence, will be looking forward to replicating the same run of form in Division 1 with the aim of achieving a ticket to play in the top-flight league in Ghana as they continue to compete for honours and important points going forward.

In an interview on GTV Sports Plus’s Studio 5, the Director of Communications, Jerry Owusu, disclosed that determination and focus have been the highly prioritized currency within the structure of the club, and that’s what resulted in such an invisible and wonderful season.

Jerry Owusu stressed that his team has started the necessary preparations for their participation in the Division One League next season, although the Division One League is still ongoing.

“Expect nothing but the best from us, as we will be representing and defending the badge of Port City FC with pride, and definitely we are going to give them good results, and hopefully we can bring another glory home,” said Jerry Owusu.

He also highlighted some moments of the season where he acknowledged and praised the striker of the team, Bernard Quarcoo, who scored 26 goals in 20 appearances in the league, earning him the top scorer and the player of the season award.

Bernard Quarcoo, an outstanding goal scorer in the Division 2 Zone 5 middle league, also poured out a few insightful words on his remarkable performances in the just-ended season, earning him both the best player and goal king awards.

“We had a great season, and I will give thanks to God for that. I hope for more positive seasons ahead, especially as we play Division One next season. Even though most of my targets weren’t achieved, I believe next season will offer me a unique opportunity to do much better,” said Bernard Quarcoo.
