Should Paul Pogba or Jose Mourinho leave Manchester United? Matt Le Tissier and Dion Dublin discussed on The Debate.
Their relationship has appeared to come under strain this season, with Pogba being an unused substitute in the last two United fixtures, one of which was a 3-1 loss to rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
The result has seen Mourinho’s position come under scrutiny, with rumours continuing to link Pogba with a move away from Old Trafford, and Le Tissier believes one of them will be gone by the end of the summer.
“If they had any intention of getting rid of Jose Mourinho, then a new manager would want to have a fresh start with Pogba,” the former striker said on The Debate.
“I’d be majorly shocked if he went in January. If they’re going to keep hold of Jose for next season as well, then in the summer, you won’t see Pogba still at Man Utd.

“There’s a personality clash, that’s what it smacks of to me, and it happens. You can’t get on with everyone in life but sometimes you have to be big enough men to put that to one side and say ‘for the greater good of the football club, let’s put that to one side’.”
Dublin was less sure about who could exit the club and says that United lack the world-class players they have had previously.
He added: “I don’t know who is going to go. Is it going to be Mourinho or Pogba? I don’t know but something is wrong between the two. It’s a really difficult one because Pogba is still world class and Mr Mourinho is still a world class manager so why aren’t they performing as such? It’s what we’re not seeing that is the problem.
“It is unheard of for United to be playing so poorly and to be playing a style of football that we wouldn’t recognise as Manchester United.
“If you just turned up and watched that Premier League game [against Liverpool] and there were no names on the shirts, you wouldn’t think that was Man Utd playing. Absolutely no chance at all.
“We know United as winning something every season and you have to be of a certain standard to play for Manchester United and I consider that standard to be world class.
“There’s a massive difference between being very good to being great and world class and able to affect a football match. I can’t find many great players at Man Utd – Pogba on his day and the goalkeeper is brilliant.”
