Chief Executive Officer of Division Two Club, Nadm SC, Mark Selorm Coffie, has been greatly endorsed by Congressmen of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.

Mr. Coffie polled the highest number of votes at Congress, which was also an election for Executive Council members of the Regional Football Association.

It was held at the Ho Municipal Assembly Hall. In total, 136 members were present to vote.

The election was supervised by Mr. Malcolm Appeadu for the GFA Elections Committee.

It was an intense contest as four candidates chased three available slots for the Regional FA Executive Council representation.

Mark Selorm Coffie amassed 53 votes, followed by Wisdom Bakah Junior with 49 votes, and Hamza Mutala earned 40 votes, leaving new entrant Jeremy Mawunyega Asafo at the bottom with 35 votes.

This means Mark Selorm Coffie, Wisdom Bakah, and Hamza Mutala have been elected to join the Executive Council of the Region FA.

In a similar fashion last four years, all three candidates made it onto the Executive Council, as Mark Coffie again polled the highest number of votes (28) at the 2020 elections.

They will thus join eight others to form an 11-member Executive Council together with the Regional Chairman.

Innocencia Agbavitor, Martin Torku, Frank Fudzi Foster Kudiabor, and Williams Korshie Ackumey all went unopposed in their respective categories.

They will represent women’s football, coaches, referees, and juvenile football, respectively, on the council.

Two slots are, however, reserved for representation from the District Football Association (DFA), as a date will soon be set for district elections.

The Regional Football Association Chairman, Daniel Agbogah, has already been affirmed and elected via popular acclamation, as he went unopposed to continue another four-year tenure as leader of the VRFA.
