The apex league of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) the Division Two League will have its name changed to “Adonai Estate Volta Division Two League” for the 2022/23 season because of its headline partnership deal with a Real Estate Company, Adonai Estate Limited.

The Regional Football Association entered into a GHC 25,000.00 sponsorship agreement with Adonai Estate Limited to become its official headline sponsor for the 2022/2023 league season.

Many football enthusiasts are elated and have welcomed the partnership with the Real Estate Company but have raised concerns about how meagre the sponsorship is for the season.

The Regional FA Chairman, Daniel Agbogah, in response said, “we sold out the name to the partner and not the entire league, it’s just a naming right, the league is solely owned by the RFA and the partner is aware.”

Mr. Daniel Agbogah, who is excited about the sponsorship from Adonai Estate Limited, called on Corporate Ghana to assist in the development of football in the region.

“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the corporate society, I know it is not easy with a product that has not been packaged for a very long period for you to want to associate your company with such a product.”

“We kept on knocking on doors for the past 2 years we managed to rebrand and we threw it to you and it is attracting you.”

“It is for that reason we are going to have our league name going to change in the 2022/23 season.”

“I want to use this opportunity to thank and congratulate the CEO of Adonai Estate Limited, we are so grateful that you’ve come on board to associate your reputable company with our sport,” he said.

Mr. Agbogah pledged his outfit’s assurance to carry a good corporate image for Adonai Estate Limited.

“We are giving you our word that we won’t do anything to soil the image of your company.” Mr. Agbogah said.

“We will do our best that if you are injecting one cedi you will inject five cedis in the coming season,” he added.

The Adonai Estate Volta Division Two League will kick off on the 10th of February 2023 across Game Centers in Kpando, Akatsi, Ho, Sogakofe, Battor, Agbozume, Yadzo, and Dambai.
