Women’s Premier League: Fidous Yakubu bags brace for Hasaacas

Match Day 2 of the Ghana Women’s Premier League continued at various centres in both the Southern and Northern zones. 

In the Northern Zone, Perlpia Ladies drew one all at home with Dreamz Ladies as Tamale Super Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy scored one goal apiece. In a keenly contested game between Ashtown Ladies and Prisons Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf, Prisons Ladies Agnes Manu Darkwa’s 15th-minute strike made for the visitors.

In a five-goal thriller between the Supreme Ladies and the Northern Ladies, the visiting Northern Ladies handed the home side their second defeat. The game between Ampem Darkoa and Fosu Royal Ladies has been postponed due to the defending champions participation in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Abdulai Mukarama and Fidous Yakubu combined to complete a perfect comeback of 3-1 for Hasaacas Ladies against Essiam Socrates. This propelled Hasaacas Ladies to 2 wins in 2 matches with both Mukarama and Fidous on 2 goals after match day 2 at the Gyandu Park. Berry Ladies, who hosted the Sea Lions at the Madina AstroTurf, recorded a 3-1 victory. In other matches, Lady Strikers won 2-1 against Jonina Ladies. Police Ladies won 1-0 away at Aduyaw Assasan Park. Army Ladies drew 1 all with Faith Ladies.
