Black Princesses draw France, Korea Republic and Ecuador in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

Ghana’s Black Princesses will face France, Korea Republic and Ecuador in Group C of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after the official draw was conducted on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Łódź.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 27, 2026, across four Polish cities: Bielsko-Biała, Katowice, Łódź and Sosnowiec.

Ghana was represented at the draw by Ghana Football Association General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and Black Princesses Head Coach Charles Sampson.

The Black Princesses qualified for the tournament through the African qualifiers, which featured a knockout home-and-away format across multiple rounds under the Confederation of African Football.

CAF allocated four places to African teams for the tournament.
The 2026 tournament will feature 24 teams from six confederations, with reigning champions Korea DPR also returning to defend their title.

First-time participants include Benin, Ecuador, New Caledonia, hosts Poland, Portugal and Tanzania, while Korea DPR and the United States will each seek a record fourth title.

The final will be played on September 27 in Łódź.
