Fans flood streets of Winneba, Mankessim to welcome Black Stars

The Ghana Football Association’s campaign, ‘BRING BACK THE LOVE’, to ignite love for the national team in Ghana has spurred success.

The Black Stars of Ghana were mobbed by ecstatic fans in the towns of Mankesim and Winneba earlier Tuesday afternoon while on their way to Cape Coast to continue preparations for their crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa.

At Mankessim, the love even grew bigger as the Shell filling station metamorphosed into a market with fans cheering the players, officials and the technical team with a promise to fill the Cape Coast stadium on Thursday.

The bus carrying the team made a first stop over at Winneba and players interacted with fans and gave them T shirts and jerseys before moving to the second stop at Mankessim to do same.

The team then proceeded to Cape Coast.

Only thirteen (13) players trained on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The rest of the players are expected to arrive on Tuesday as the team departs for Cape Coast to fine- tune preparations ahead of the match.

Black Stars players present at the first training session on Monday are:

The game is scheduled to take place at the Cape Coast Sports stadium on Thursday, November 14 evening. kick off is at 7p.

The Black Stars will play Sao Tomé four days later in the second group game.

All games will be live only on GTV ,GTV sports + and all GBC Regional  Radio stations.
