The 2026 edition of the World Intelligence Expo 2026 has officially opened in Tianjin, bringing together government officials, technology innovators, industry leaders, researchers, and international participants from across the globe to explore the future of artificial intelligence and intelligent technology.
Starting from May 28 to 31 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin, this year’s Expo is under the theme “Intelligence: Extensive Development Space, Sustainable Growth Driver ,”.
The theme highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in accelerating industrial transformation, economic modernization, and sustainable global development.
Jointly hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the Expo focuses on advancing intelligent technologies while promoting deeper integration between artificial intelligence and the real economy.
The event features a comprehensive exhibition covering core AI technologies, intelligent connected vehicles, smart manufacturing, low-altitude economy and commercial aerospace, embodied intelligence, and smart living solutions. Organizers say the Expo aims to showcase cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements while creating opportunities for innovation, investment, and international cooperation.
One of the major highlights of the opening day is the Artificial Intelligence Theme Day event, alongside a series of activities including bilateral matchmaking sessions, achievements releases, exhibitions, competitions, and immersive intelligent technology experiences.
According to organizers, the Expo spans an exhibition area of about 130,000 square meters and is expected to attract leading global technology companies, experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers seeking to shape the future direction of the intelligent industry.
The World Intelligence Expo has increasingly become an important platform for dialogue on emerging technologies, industrial collaboration, and sustainable innovation. This year’s discussions are expected to focus strongly on how AI can support high-quality development, improve industrial efficiency, stimulate entrepreneurship, and contribute to smarter urban and economic systems.
As Tianjin hosts this global gathering by the Bohai Sea, participants are expected to exchange ideas on the next frontier of intelligent technology while strengthening partnerships across government, industry, academia, finance, and research institutions.
The Expo runs until May 31, with exhibitions and public engagement activities continuing throughout the four-day event.
