Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, Kenneth Ashigbey, says the Telcos have technologies to track people who hide behind private numbers to threaten innocent citizens.

He, therefore, urged journalists or any person who receives any sort of threat to report to the security agencies who can liase with the Telcos to arrest the culprits.

Mr. Ashigbey who made the comment in an interview with Radio Ghana in the wake of recent death threats on the lives of some journalists said though the Telcos do not have a valid database to validate ID cards in the system apart from the Ghana Card, they equally have good alternative technologies that can deal with the situation.

Mr. Ashigbey said NCA is working earnestly to ensure that the country has a robust database to identify people by next year.
