As part of Government’s effort to bridge the technology gap in the country, the Ghana Institute of Engineers (GHIE) in Collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Science Technology and Innovation will soon establish a Technology Design and Manufacturing Centre (TDMC).

This is to enable practicing engineers and student engineers to equip themselves practically to help actualise their innovations.

Speaking on the theme “Bridging the technology gap towards Ghana Beyond Aid and Youth Employment”, GHIE believes more of these centres will help achieve the level of technological advancement the country has targeted.

This was made known by the Chairperson of the Conference Planning Committee, Dr Kwame Boakye, at a Conference on bridging the technology gap towards ‘Ghana beyond Aid’ which was held in Accra.
